Seven years since the miraculous masterpiece "Birth"
The definitive collection of prints that conveys the further maturation of Ikeda Manabu to the future
The popular art book "The Pen" is now available with "The birth of Rebirth"
The long-awaited publication of an expanded and revised edition of "The Pen" that includes new works from 2017 onwards. "The Pen" is a collection of 100 self-selected works that trace the 20-year history of "the 10 centimeter squares created per day by a pen tip less than 1 mm in diameter". In particular, the 3x4 meter masterpiece "Birth", which depicts the journey from despair to rebirth and was a moving exhibition held nationwide. In response to this reaction, "Until "Birth" was born" was published urgently with enlarged explanations of 52 scenes from "Birth".
This book is the definitive collection of Ikeda Manabu's artworks, absorbing all of the content of "Until the Birth Was Born," which is currently unavailable, and keeping the unusual LP-sized square size of "The Pen," it includes 39 additional works, including new ones, such as the worldview that emerged from "Birth," his gaze on familiar subjects that he faced during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, and works that convey messages to Vancouver, where he lives, as well as an original essay by the artist.
