This is a collection of selected works by Tsutaya Juzaburo, the media mogul of the Edo period!

Tsutaya Juzaburo introduced famous ukiyo-e artists such as Kitagawa Utamaro and Toshusai Sharaku to the world, and further expanded his network to include kyoka poets and comic novelists, bringing innovation to the publishing world through his mixed media approach. In this catalogue, you can see 258 of Tsutaya's works from his time, including ukiyo-e, kibyoshi books, and sharebon.
In collaboration with the NHK historical drama "Berabou - Tsutae Eika no Yume Banashi" (TV series), the book also includes photographs of the Edo period set scenery used in the drama.
The yellow cover features a pattern reminiscent of Japanese binding string, and we hope you will enjoy this illustrated catalog that colors the world of Tsutaju.
