This is the first collection of essays by photographer Ryudai Takano, who has received unique acclaim for his work that questions gender and sexuality using male nudes as its subject.

The book will include new writing in addition to the serial in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, as well as photographs of cityscapes taken in conjunction with the writing.

The talk will cover a wide range of topics, including literary essays on classic works from ancient to modern times, such as Natsume Soseki's Kokoro and Ugetsu Monogatari, and the film Truck Yaro, that look at sexual diversity and reinterpret stories through photographic lens, as well as photography theory, walking around town, and his hobby of ancient martial arts.
