AMBUSH® was founded in Tokyo in 2008 as an experimental jewelry brand that expresses the unique aesthetic sense of Tokyo with innovative designs inspired by pop art. In particular, its trademark POW!® motif has been featured in media around the world. It has also started producing apparel and has expanded to designing unisex collections. In 2015, it made its Paris debut, and the brand's founders VERBAL and YOON have been selected as one of Business of Fashion's "Top 500 People Influencing the Global Fashion Industry" for five consecutive years since 2015, and as one of the "HYPEBEAST 100" for eight consecutive years. In 2022, the brand's first runway show was shown at Milan Fashion Week.

YOON's jewelry designs, which have been supported by celebrities such as Pharrell, NIGO®, and Colette since the beginning, are characterized by their bold designs inspired by everyday objects such as office supplies, safety pins, and disposable lighters. These unique designs have led to collaborations with famous brands such as Louis Vuitton (Kim Jones), sacai, UNDERCOVER, Off-White, Moët & Chandon, Bvlgari, Nike, CONVERSE, Rimowa, and GENTLE MONSTER. This work also includes contributions from collaborators related to the brand, such as Chitose Abe, Kid Cudi, Hiroshi Fujiwara, G-DRAGON of BIGBANG, KAWS, Kim Jones, Kunichi Nomura, Jun Takahashi, and Pharrell Williams.
