Born in Barcelona, Spain. A bookworm since childhood, she wanted to be a writer, but as an adult she worked in advertising while writing scripts, documentaries, and other texts. She self-published the first book she wrote, selling it herself through an online shop she created and by asking local bookstores to stock it. The next book she planned was the "Big Dreams of a Little One." This series has been translated into languages around the world and is loved by many readers.

Graduated from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Tokyo. Moved to the UK in 1996. After the birth of his daughter, he became interested in Montessori and sent her to a Montessori kindergarten in London. He is currently based in London, where he writes, translates and produces films. His books include "The World's Most Beautiful Bookstore." His translations include "The Montessori Method: The Incredible Child-Rearing Technique for Nurturing Talent" and "Mr. Tateru: Building a Dream House" (both published by Ex-Knowledge), "Visual Design Theory" (Cross Media Publishing), and "Art That Shook the World" (Seigensha).
