Hisashi Eguchi
Manga artist and illustrator.
Born in Kumamoto Prefecture in 1956.
He made his debut as a manga artist in 1977 in "Weekly Shonen Jump."
His innovative pop sense and unique style of drawing have had a huge impact on the manga world.
His representative works include "Go!! Pirates", "Stop!! Hibari-kun!", "Age", and "Charamono".
In 1992, he won the 38th Bungeishunju Manga Award for his short story collection "Eguchi Hisashi's Explosive Dinner Show."
Since the 1980s, he has been active in many fields as an illustrator.
He has worked on numerous corporate tie-up projects and record jacket artwork, and his works, which incorporate the fashion and culture of his generation, continue to be popular.
