About the productJapanese

Starting with the French magazine Purple created by Ellen Fleiss, Suzuki Chikashi has been active internationally since the mid-1990s, working across fields such as fashion, street fashion and art.
In recent years, Suzuki has held solo exhibitions such as "Sunny Day, Tokyo" (2018) and "My Tokyo" (2019), continuing to document the contemporary Tokyo of his time. "New Tokyo" is a remix of the "movements" of Tokyo he has photographed from the 1990s to the present, and has been published as part of the NEOTOKYOZINE series, developed by G/P±abp in cooperation with FUJI XEROX.

NEOTOKYOZINE is a new platform project for photobooks that has been published by G/P+abp in collaboration with FUJI XEROX since 2020.
The rise of art book fairs around the world and the rise of zine culture are driven not only by growing interest in photo books and art, but also by the evolution of digital printing machines that make it possible to produce high-quality prints at low cost.

G/P+abp has been publishing photo books in the traditional style up until now, but this time, with the cooperation of FUJI XEROX, they have adopted a system that allows them to continuously produce only the number of copies required by using the cutting-edge on-demand printer Iridesse. The NEOTOKYOZINE project is an attempt to enable photographers and artists to utilize and collaborate with this new system.
