A mini portfolio set by photographer Kawauchi Rinko. After winning the Grand Prix in the photography category at the 9th Hitotsubo Exhibition in 1997, the artist held a solo exhibition titled "Utatane" at the Guardian Garden the following year in 1998. The works she took during that period were the precursor to her first photo book of the same title, "Utatane" (2001), but many of the photographs were not included in the book. This portfolio includes six photographs from the 1998 exhibition "Utatane" that were not previously published in the book. This was Kawauchi's starting point, but it also gives us a glimpse of the foundations of her unique world of work that will soon take flight into the world.
