This is a special edition of "The Promise," the second in the "A Myth of Two Souls" series, a project that reinterprets the ancient Indian epic poem "Ramayana," weaving a story with modern images, with each chapter published as a separate photo book.

The second chapter of "Ramayama" describes the process by which Rama, the prince of Kosala, and his future wife Sita come to understand each other.

The book follows the story of the second chapter of the Ramayana and visualises the love between Rama and Sita through traditional Indian ceremonies and contemporary images of people portraying the couple.
