About the productJapanese

Nuka art is a visual art in which pickled vegetables are thinly sliced and beautifully arranged on a plate.

This is a Nuka Art art book created in New York between May 2020 and August 2021 by Jaiko Suzuki, who is a singer, dancer, performer, writer, and visual artist.
It's an unexpected idea to turn pickled vegetables into works of art, but each work is beautiful, like looking into a kaleidoscope. 43 works are featured.
The book also includes footage of New York in the midst of the pandemic lockdown, which served as the backdrop for the production, the story behind the birth of Nuka Art, and a travelogue by writer Sakuma Yumiko.
