One of the main reasons for the amazing level of perfection of the movie "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" is the huge number of "pictures" and "text" drawn by Takehiko Inoue in order to share his image with the production staff, which became the "foundation" of the movie. This book contains and analyzes a wealth of those "pictures" and "text" that would not have been visible otherwise.
In addition, a long interview with Takehiko Inoue, totaling about 15,000 characters, is included. He talks about his motivation for taking on the film challenge, his feelings for "SLAM DUNK" fans, and his thoughts after the production is completed.
Also included for the first time will be the one-shot manga "Piercing," which was published in issue 9 of Weekly Shonen Jump in 1998 and issue 49 of Weekly Young Jump in 2001 but never published in book form. The work served as the basis for part of the story in the film starring one of the characters, Miyagi Ryota.
This book is a compilation of the foundational elements that created the film. Please take a look at this book that delves into Takehiko Inoue's thoughts, aspirations, and trials.
