A collection of works by Japanese photographer Seiichi Furuya. In 1973, the photographer left Japan on the Trans-Siberian Railway and traveled to Europe. He moved to Graz via Vienna, where he met Christine Gössler in 1978. From that day on, the photographer continued to photograph Christine, from the intimate time they spent together at home in Graz to her journeys to Germany, England, Italy, and faraway Japan. Christine studied art history and produced documentaries on the radio, but after giving birth to her son in 1981, she became absorbed in the world of theater. As she devoted herself to acting lessons, she gradually developed schizophrenia, and in 1985 she took her own life in East Berlin.
