[Author profile] Ryo Sawayama Born in Okayama Prefecture in 1982. Modern and contemporary art/art criticism. Graduated from the Master's course at the Musashino Art University Graduate School of Art and Design. In 2009, he won first place in the 14th Bijutsu Techo Art Criticism Competition for his essay "Labor Work: Carl Andre's Concept of Creation." His books include "The Dynamics of Painting" (Shoshi Kankanbo, 2020) and "10 Lectures on Contemporary Art" (edited by Tanaka Masayuki, Musashino Art University Press, 2017).
