Timber Crew is a building materials manufacturer that manufactures, processes, and sells all kinds of wooden building materials.
He is known for his exquisite aging process that brings out the beauty of wood to the fullest, and his technical skills have earned him many famous designers and engineers as clients.
The company has been involved in the production of many commercial spaces and fixtures, and all of its upcycled products made from scraps generated during the lumber sawing process are unique and expressive.
As a group of wood professionals, the products they deal with are all rare and difficult to obtain, such as African ebony, which is almost never available in Japan, and Distylium racemosum, a species native to Japan that is only rarely distributed.
Some of the projects he has worked on include Sarutahiko Coffee The Bridge Harajuku, ONITSUKA TIGER OMOTESANDO NIPPONMADE, JINS Shibuya, BLAMINK TOKYO, and many others.
This book explores the humorous sensibility of the Timber Crew, who have a keen eye for characterful wood and use it in tableware and furniture, including the flooring that made their work famous.
This book introduces sensitivities and unique ways of working that can serve as hints for all people involved in crafts, not just those in the architecture and design fields. The first limited edition is a one-of-a-kind piece with a specially processed oak board on the cover.
