Specification A collection of works by Japanese photographer Takashi Homma. This work is a photo essay that was shot extensively in 2023 on artist Raiki Yamamoto.

Born in 2006, Reiki's work spans a wide range of genres, including painting, sculpture, installation, and performance, and in 2022 he held his first solo exhibition, "Untitled 1," at "galerie tenko presents." The gallery is an up-and-coming gallery organized and run by curator Tenko (Tenko Nakajima), and is a project that introduces internationally active artists in an off-site space in Tokyo.

Reiki is based in Tokyo and Kamakura, traveling between the two cities, and in addition to the solo exhibition mentioned above, he has also participated in group exhibitions such as ``Group Show (2022)'' at the art space ``4649'' in Sugamo in 2022 and ``elective affinities Exhibition Part I'' at ``agnes b. galerie boutique'' in 2023.

Honma is one of the most important contemporary photographers based in Japan. His photographs depict the nuances of Tokyo's suburbs, urban areas, and surrounding landscapes, as well as the people who inhabit them, and he explores his hometown with a gentle yet thoughtful discourse. He has published many photobooks, and in 1999 he won the 24th (1998) Kimura Ihei Award for his work on "Tokyo Suburbia," his most famous work and a project accompanying the book.

This is Honma's first collaborative collection with New York-based publisher DASHWOOD BOOKS. In the fall of 2024, DASHWOOD BOOKS will be co-publishing a photobook of portraits of Japanese cultural figures called "Portrait of J" with SESSION PRESS, another New York publisher.
