Author Profile
Mutsumi Ishii (Author/Writer)
Author and translator. She won the Mainichi Shimbun Small Children's Story Grand Prize and the Niimi Nankichi Children's Literature Prize for "The Beginning of May, Sunday Morning" (Iwasaki Shoten). She won the Japan Children's Literature Association Prize for "Plates and Paper Planes" (Kodansha) and the Hirosuke Children's Story Prize for "Watashi-chan" (Komine Shoten). Her many works include the "Sumire-chan" series (Kaiseisha), "After 100 Years" (Alice-kan), and "A Lost Letter" (Sekai Bunka-sha).
Rei Kurahashi (Illustration)
Born in Gifu Prefecture. Illustrator. Active in a wide range of fields, including illustrations for picture books, books, and packaging. She also produces and sells original goods on her own website. Her work includes "Remy's Drawer" (Shogakukan).
