Junaida is a painter born in 1978. He is the director of Hedgehog Books. Junaida has been highly praised both in Japan and abroad, having been selected for the Bologna Children's Book Fair for Illustrators with "HOME" (Sunread), and winning the Children's Book/Picture Book category at the 2015 Book Design Competition for "Michi" and "Monster Garden" (Fukuinkan Shoten), and the IBBY Peter Pan Award for "Monster Garden."
