“An old family album that I saw when I went back home a few years ago.
In it, I see my mother and father, younger than I am now. I am a young child. And I see the blankness of my unborn younger brother and sister.

The pure documentary nature of photography and the nostalgic feelings that fragments of the past evoke are different.
I felt like there was something deep within that that was the quality of photography that fascinates me.

What is the reason why I continue to take photographs?

As I grew through my 20s and 30s, the changes in my surroundings made me realize the finiteness of time for humans, and I began to view the amount of time I have objectively.

Wanting to confirm my own existence and the existence of time, I consciously began taking pictures of all the "pasts" around me around 2020. This work began with the place where I was born and raised and the house where I lived, and expanded to events with my family, past photos, and even the past of my father and mother.

And in the process, he became aware of his strong attachment to his past.
This attachment is a resistance to the loss of everything through time.
This is an important theme in my photography.

Through the medium of photography, which captures and visualizes time as the past,
It raises the question of what time is.”
