This photo book was produced as an archive for photographer YURI HORIE's first solo photo exhibition, "Roman-YURI HORIE Photo Exhibition," held at Shinjuku Gankagaro from Friday, May 31 to Wednesday, June 5, 2024. It contains a total of 100 full-color photographs, including unpublished photographs from the exhibition.

The extravagant coming-of-age ceremonies of Kitakyushu and Okinawa, the glittering decorated trucks, tattoos, festivals, nightlife in Kabukicho, and more... This book contains the moments when the author, while meeting various people from all over the country, was attracted to the universal charm of the so-called "romantic romance" and felt "romance" in his own heart. When we hear the words "tradition and culture" in Japan, we only think of stuffy and stiff things. But is that really all there is? This book captures the unique romance that is passed down and changing.

YURI HORIE
A photographer from Tokyo. He captures unique, heartwarming moments with a unique worldview while communicating through his camera. After graduating from university, he worked in the technical department of a domestic camera manufacturer while taking fashion snapshots on the streets of Tokyo. After participating in Seoul Fashion Week in 2016, he rediscovered his passion for fashion culture. He joined DropTokyo in 2018. He began working as a freelancer in 2021 and is active both domestically and internationally.
