"SHIP'S CAT (Mirror)" is a limited edition of 1,000 pieces produced in collaboration between contemporary artist Kenji Yanobe and home appliance manufacturer Takara Standard Co., Ltd.

The model for the product is Yanobe's work "SHIP'S CAT (Muse)" installed at the Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka, which opened in 2022. Yanobe's "SHIP'S CAT", which is also known as a giant cat monument that watches over the safety of people's various journeys and brings good fortune to the area, is a contemporary art piece that has been popular both in Japan and abroad since its appearance in 2017. "SHIP'S CAT", dressed in a vermilion suit that has been widely used in palaces and shrines and temples since ancient times as a color symbolizing warding off evil and longevity, has become a mirror that is also said to play a role as a talisman. "SHIP'S CAT (Mirror)" reflects the beauty in the surrounding scenery and various scenes of life while watching over the safety of your life.
