The latest addition to the ISI PRESS zine series is a special issue on Shohei Takasaki, a painter/sculptor active both in Japan and overseas.

His dynamic lines and bold use of color fill the canvas, overwhelming the viewer and garnering enthusiastic support not only from the art scene, but also from the wider art world. Many people in Japan may have seen his work thanks to his collaboration with Starbucks.

Following Vol.1, 2, and 3, Kazunari Hattori is once again in charge of the design.

Shohei Takasaki
Painter/sculptor.
Born in 1979. Lives in Portland, USA.
Fascinated by the concept of desire and the physical sexuality of the human body, his work displays his powerful and free-style approach to painting.
In 2014, he held the first solo show by a Japanese artist in Kuwait.
Solo show held in Portland in 2017
In the same year, three giclee posters were released by PCP (Poster Child Prints) on the west coast of the United States, a company world-famous for its pop art posters.
In November 2018, his first solo exhibition in Japan in five years was held in Omotesando, Tokyo.
