Named Nara Badu, which means "looking at water" in Sydney Aboriginal, the building marks the culmination of the Sydney Modern Project, which aims to transform a historic public building into a museum where art, architecture and landscape are seamlessly integrated.

The book also features a foreword by the competition jury, architect and academic Juhani Pallasmaa, and photographs by Ivan Baan, a renowned photographer in the architectural world.
