About the productJapanese

Minato Lab has released a book compiling the contents of the "Marine Environment Design Project."

Minato Lab, which operates under the theme of "connecting the ocean and people through learning," defines design for coexistence between the marine environment and humans as "marine environment design," and has been working with the Nippon Foundation on the "Marine Environment Design Project," which aims to build desirable relationships between humans and the natural/marine environment.

As an approach to understanding the current situation of "OCEAN BLINDNESS," where we are unable to see our connection to the ocean, we have collaborated with a variety of designers and writers, and this book introduces examples of these collaborations. We also introduce architecture, products, and other initiatives from around the world that contribute to the marine environment. This book is for aspiring designers, as well as anyone who wants to better design the future.
