This is a catalog of fine examples of fune-dokkuri, a type of rustic pottery called "Nono ware" that was fired in Tanegashima from the Edo period to the Meiji period, and is also known as a mythical item. The author is Sugimoto Osamu, the owner of "Daikichi," an antiques dealer in Kyoto who has been pursuing Nono ware for decades. This book will also be useful for gaining a deeper appreciation of the "YOKINO - Tanegashima Ware, Ancient Pottery of the Southern Seas - Exhibition," which is being held until April 8, 2024 at the BANKO archive design museum in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture.
