The recommendation on the obi is by Kengo Kuma!
Both architecture and cuisine are a dialogue with nature,
It is a serious battle with nature,
It moved me!
--Kengo Kuma (Architect, Professor Emeritus and Special Professor at the University of Tokyo)
A novel written by Yasuhiko Tsuchida, a master of Venetian glass
"My beloved city of Kobe was destroyed, and everything changed. It felt as if time was flowing differently before and after the earthquake. But when I had breakfast like before, how can I put it... I felt as if the time before the earthquake and the present had finally been connected. It felt like I could finally get my daily life back. It was the first time I had felt cheerful since the earthquake, and I still remember it well."
Shinkuro, an architect and food enthusiast, is responsible for the reconstruction efforts following the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake.
Despite his sadness, he finds hope by devoting himself to food and architecture...
