This book is a large-format version of Kaiseisha's "Pictures of the World of Chemistry" series (published in 1981) and its revised new edition "Science Exploration, Knowledge Adventure" series (published in 2000), with some changes to the way the data is expressed in light of the latest understanding. Please note that the illustrations are from the time of the first edition, so there are some differences from current common knowledge. With this new revision, the series has been renamed "Kako Satoshi's New Pictorial Chemistry World." The new edition also includes commentary by the supervisor, Professor Fujishima Akira.
