Who is Grogu?

Grogu is a child of the same species as Jedi Master Yoda, who appears in "The Mandalorian" (a Star Wars drama series released on Disney+, with season 3 produced and a theatrical film scheduled for release in 2026), and his origins are all shrouded in mystery. All we know is that, like Yoda, he has a strong force and was trained as a Jedi at the Jedi Temple.

In Episode 3 of the movie "Star Wars," Anakin Skywalker (later Darth Vader), who had fallen to the dark side of the Force, attacked the Jedi Temple. Grogu has memories of being rescued from the temple at that time.

The Mandalorian is set in the world after Episode 6, in which Luke and his rebel allies defeated the Imperial Army and brought peace to the galaxy.

The galaxy was ruled by the New Republic, but remnants of the surviving Imperial Army were lurking about. The Mandalorian, working with Greef Karga of the bounty hunter's guild, retrieves Grogu, who is a wanted man. However, the Mandalorian steals the innocent and defenseless Grogu, who has mysterious powers, from his client. The Mandalorian chooses to protect Grogu and return him to his fellow Jedi, and so begins a great adventure across the galaxy with Grogu. Fighting against various enemies trying to capture Grogu, will the Mandalorian be able to achieve his goal?
