Specification For Yamagami Shinpei, the world was complex and inaccessible.
Camera in hand, he ventures into the mountains, staring intently at the trees there and taking photographs.
From the top of the cliff, I take photos capturing the waves crashing on the ocean.
For Yamagami, it was his only way to come into contact with the world.
*
One day, a wounded butterfly landed on Yamakami's hand. Even though it was injured, the butterfly tried to fly.
From that day on, Yamagami began taking photographs of butterflies.
For Yamagami, this flickering life became a means to connect him to the world.
The photo book, which is divided into three chapters, is structured to trace the photographer's past, present, and future as he soars alongside the butterflies, a life that has always feared and denied peace.
KANON - A round of flickering lives
The photographs on the mountain capture the despair and hope of those of us living in the modern age.
