Specification Northern Australia is located in the tropics. Saltwater crocodiles live in an area known as the "brackish waters" where river water and ocean water mix. The largest can weigh up to 1 ton and grow over 6 meters in length. Their bodies are covered in hard, thick scales like armor. They have a fierce temperament. They are carnivorous and will bite into anything. They have 66 teeth lined up in their mouths, which they replace over and over again. Saltwater crocodiles are the world's largest crocodiles. No one can stand in their way once they have grown to such gigantic sizes. This is the first picture book to depict wild saltwater crocodiles.
