Specification Photographer Yasutomo Ebisu and editor/writer Rumiko Suzuki visited a number of British gardens for the magazine ku:nel. The journey began with Suzuki's words, "Let's go in search of 'green fingers.'"
Gardeners who transformed formal English gardens into gardens that are more in tune with nature, and English women who elevated the art to the level of art. The "green fingers" of gardeners who understood and inherited these ideas. Suzuki was touched by the gardens that "continue to change without changing," and spent several years working with Ebisu to create this series.
This otherworldly garden, full of beauty and vitality, lives on there today.
Green fingers: People who make beautiful flowers bloom and grow well are praised as having been given "green fingers" by God. In England, it is said to be a talent that is envied above all else.
