This is the second tattoo photo collection by photographer Masato Sudo, who has been obsessed with the world of stillness and movement, and reality and fiction, of tattoos and the body for over 35 years and has been working with tattooed bodies.

This work is a collection of photos of 20 people covered in full-body tattoos by the highly acclaimed and unparalleled tattoo artist of our time, Horiyoshi III. Along with photos that show the incredible precision of his tattoos, the book also combines photos of him performing outdoors in nature, allowing you to fully enjoy the world of this contemporary tattoo artist's work.

Japanese tattoos, which are associated with the Yakuza, are still viewed with a negative attitude and are certainly treated as anti-social. However, when one looks closely at the intricate tattoos, they depict scenes from the Suikoden, dragons, and even carp climbing waterfalls, based on aesthetic values inherited from Japan and China, and are beautiful enough to be called sculptures of the flesh.

This book conveys a uniquely Japanese aesthetic sense through photographs taken by Sudo in the studio and outdoors, featuring people who normally live ordinary lives but who have become obsessed with tattoos and have had their lives changed by them.
