The exhibition features a total of 822 works, including valuable materials such as sketches and preliminary drawings that trace the trajectory of the artist's creative process, as well as all of his prints from 2005 onwards.

◆Nakajima Chinami
He was born in 1945 in Obuse, Nagano Prefecture, where he had evacuated, as the third son of Japanese painter Nakajima Kiyoyuki.
Graduated from the Department of Japanese Painting at Tokyo University of the Arts in 1969.
He completed his graduate studies at the same university in 1971. He was first selected for the Spring Inten Exhibition in the same year he graduated from university. Since then, he has won numerous awards, including the Inten Encouragement Award and the Yamatane Museum of Art Award Exhibition Excellence Award.
In 1992, the Obuse Museum Nakajima Chinami Hall (run in Obuse Town, Nagano Prefecture) opened.
In 1996, the first "Eyes - Individual Shapes" exhibition was held (up to the 15th exhibition).
In 2004, the ceiling paintings in the inner Buddhist halls of the Fukagawa Fudo-do Temple, entitled "Mahavairocana Lotus Pond," were completed and donated.
In 2012, he organized the first Artist Group -Kaze- open exhibition (up to 10 exhibitions).
In 2016, the exhibition "Nakajima Chinami and the Toy Series - The Artist's Secrets" was held at the Shoto Museum of Art in Shibuya.
He currently serves as Professor Emeritus at Tokyo University of the Arts, Permanent Director of the Japan Artists Federation, and Honorary Director of the Obuse Museum Nakajima Chinami Hall.
