Photographed by Carlos Muñoz-Yagü, son of Yves Saint Laurent's right-hand couturier, the book documents the creative process of Yves Saint Laurent in the latter stages of his career, from 1989 to 2002, when he produced his final collection.
Through his mother, Carlos was involved in the creative process of Yves Saint Laurent, capturing sketches in the studio, the behind-the-scenes work of the "petite men" skilled craftsmen working in the atelier, model fittings, and the state just before the show, capturing the creative world of Yves Saint Laurent in his later years. In addition, private archive materials (letters, documents, sketches, etc.), some of which have never been seen before, are included as background to the world of the Yves Saint Laurent House.
