About the productJapanese

A collection of works by Berlin-based German artist Stefan Marx. Heavily influenced by skateboarding culture, the artist creates zines, t-shirts, record covers, and skateboard artwork, while also holding exhibitions in galleries, effortlessly bridging the gap between DIY culture and fine art. His monochrome works and paintings often feature lyrics and dialogue in his unique style, and are written as carefree comments on modern society. His comical illustrations, paintings, and slogans of everyday scenes are rooted in street culture and appeal to our cultural consciousness.

This work was published to celebrate the artist's first solo exhibition in Italy, which will take place at the "settantaventidue" in Milan on October 29, 2024. This series of marble works, created with machine tools and by hand, will be shown for the first time in this exhibition. With his characteristic drawings and canvas works, he paints his lettering and motifs on marble, a new artistic medium for the artist, which he explored in close collaboration with Abram Bianchi during his stay in Bergamo, Italy.
