This book is a compilation of photographs taken together with artist Yusuke Hanai, who was chosen to illustrate the motif for a new blanket for the American apparel brand PENDLETON, as they toured the town of Pendleton, Oregon, where the brand has its roots.

"In September 2023, I visited an event called Round-Up in Pendleton, Oregon with artist Yusuke Hanai.
This is a rare event across the US where rodeo riders and Native Americans, people of different cultures, come together on the same field to share, compete and enjoy their respective traditional cultures.
Rodeo may not be very familiar to Japanese people, but it is a popular sport, and seeing it live is overwhelmingly exciting.
The traditional dances and colorful, intricate, beautiful costumes of Native Americans represent the history and identity of their tribes.
What we saw was only a small part of it, but we were overwhelmed by its beauty, intensity and frenzy.
The record of those few days has been compiled into a book. In addition to the text in both Japanese and English, the book also includes several sketches and drawings made by Yusuke Hanai on-site as special content. (Quote from the press release)
