■ At the end of the 1960s, beauty was no longer contained in the frame, much less the museum, but began to spill out into the urban landscape. This is the culmination of the artist's thoughts on "things and places" as he led the Mono-ha movement and nurtured it into a major current in contemporary art through his artistic endeavors that continue to this day.

■ Things exist before they are tools, before they are products. Their existence awakens our consciousness, and conveys the news of the place that surrounds them... as if wood had eyes and stones had consciousness. While "making" for over forty years, the thoughts that were spun like a breath beside him cut through ontology and the enlightenment of Zen Buddhism.
