Artist Ohtake, who works in a wide range of genres from painting to music and writing, has been fascinated by the charm of lines in copperplate prints since his days as an art college student. This is his first collection of copperplate prints, and it covers the works he has been creating since 1978.
The book contains 391 works inspired by various motifs such as music and travel. By flipping through the pages, which are divided into chapters by the years of production, you can feel Shinro Ohtake's passion for creativity as it changes with the times. Many unpublished works are also featured, including 31 new works created in 2022.

Otake's thoughts on printmaking can be seen in an essay about his encounter with printmaking and a long interview of 12,000 characters.
