This book is an expanded and revised new edition of "THE JOURNEY BEGINS," Nagai's first self-recommended collection of works, published in conjunction with the exhibition of the same name held at GINZA TSUTAYA BOOKS from the end of 2022 to the beginning of 2023. From the early works that shaped Nagai Hiroshi to his more recent works, Nagai himself has selected works that everyone has seen at least once on record jackets, advertisements, magazines, etc., such as poolside, cars, people, night views, waves, buildings, and his signature palm trees swaying in the wind.

The first edition, a limited edition with a cloth cover created by designer Yoxxx, who continues to design the artwork for many of Nagai's works, created a huge response after its release.

This time, while retaining the contents of the first edition, the cover has been changed from cloth to paper to make it a popular edition. It has been supplemented with three new pieces, including one that was also shown at the previous exhibition. [New revised and enlarged edition]
