Hiroshi Nagai is a popular illustrator who has been active since the 1970s, working on numerous record jackets and advertisements, including the cover art for the timeless classic "A LONG VACATION" (Eiichi Ohtaki). Nagai says that his unique style, which seems to mix surrealism and pop art, was gradually shaped by his 40-day trip to America in the early 1970s, combined with the sight of palm trees lining the streets in front of the station in his hometown.
For many years, Nagai Hiroshi has painted themes such as popular swimming pools, cars, people, night views, etc., but did you know that he has also continued to paint many works with buildings as the motif?
