This is the first collection of the work of photographer Mikiya Takimoto, a leading figure in Japan's advertising photography industry as one of the foremost runners in the industry, compiling in one book 25 years of advertising work from the start of his career in 1998 to 2023.
This book is divided into two parts: advertising photography and commercial film.
First, the advertising photography section features approximately 120 advertising photographs, from the "Tokyo City Keiba Twinkle Lady Award" that he took shortly after going independent, and his early representative work "Toshimaen Pool," to "Pocari Sweat 2023," shot in 2023.
The commercial film section features around 70 commercial works that have been loved beyond the scope of commercials, such as the "Sapporo Draft Beer Black Label Adult Elevator" and "Daiwa House Here, Together" series, which have been running since 2010. The selection is centered on recent works, whose worldview has been further deepened through experience as a cinematographer.
Takimoto himself was in charge of selecting the works included in the book. Although he only carefully selected about 10% of the vast amount of work he has done to date, the final volume is about 600 pages long.
This book allows you to fully enjoy the world of photographer Mikiya Takimoto, who is constantly seeking change and continuing to deepen his work.
