This is the definitive edition that includes all of the works that Gocho Shigeo published during his lifetime.
This book is the "Works Edition" of the Complete Works of Gocho Shigeo, which has a total of two volumes (the "Reference Volume" is scheduled to be published in November 2023).

In recent years, there has been growing momentum both at home and abroad to reconsider the history of Japanese photography, particularly since the 1960s, and since Gocho Shigeo is considered one of the most important photographers in Japan, it is currently difficult to find books that provide an overview of the work of this photographer, and so this publication of a complete collection was planned. The "Works Edition" includes all of the work from the four collections published during his lifetime, "Days," "SELF AND OTHERS," "When You Open the Door," and "In a Familiar Town," as well as all of the work from two series of works that were either published or compiled during his lifetime, "Memories of Water" and "Childhood's Time."
