Naka Kazuhiro, a young Japanese hairstylist, said, "Rather than being concerned with trends or technology, I want to create something that inspires me.
"I want to go back to my roots and create something impulsively." This is a photo book of my own work that I created with a strong passion.
Naka does not use any professional models, but instead casts models by selecting people who have their faces publicly available on Instagram and who best embody his idea of what a Japanese person should be.
While some of the hair pieces are skillfully created, there are also many shots of people in their natural state, with no changes made to the insides, as they are fine as is.
Although the book is rough around the edges and some parts are difficult to understand when read through, it gives a glimpse into the concept behind Naka's hairstyling ideas.
