This series was shot during a visit to the Italian municipality of Luzzara. Shore's gaze as he photographs Luzzara, the town that was the setting for Paul Strand's masterpiece "Un Paese," is filled with reverence for Strand, and one can sense the unchanging streetscape and hear the breathing of its people.
