This is the first collection of works by Masaru Iwai (1975-), a contemporary artist who has attracted attention both in Japan and overseas.
His creative style involves immersing himself in local communities, both in Japan and overseas, and spending time observing and participating in them to create his works. Drawing on his experience working part-time in a cleaning job, he has produced many works with themes such as cleaning, washing, purification, and cleaning. This book contains four works, each of which has also been released as a video.

He is a notable artist who will also be participating in the Yokohama Triennale, which opens in July 2020.
