In the fall of 2022, Shinro Ohtake will hold his first major retrospective in 16 years at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo. An artist active in a wide range of genres from painting to music and writing, Ohtake has been fascinated by the appeal of lines in copperplate prints since his days as an art school student. This book is his first collection of copperplate prints, and it brings together the works he has been creating since 1978.

The book contains 391 works inspired by various motifs such as music and travel. By flipping through the pages, which are divided into chapters by the years of production, you can feel Shinro Ohtake's passion for creativity as it changes with the times. Many unpublished works are also included, including 31 new works created in 2022.
