A mysterious story from the forest country of Finland.

The story takes place in a dark forest overflowing with wandering spirits searching for light. A woman who has moved to a place near such a forest can no longer bear the lonely moans of the spirits that she hears every night, and one night she decides to plot to free them from the darkness.
During this time, a small, nameless ghost appears. Unlike the other ghosts, this little ghost does not wish to be released from the darkness, but instead wants to live in this world as a ghost and become a girl to go to school.
He lives a slightly unusual life with this "ghost child," attempts to free a giant ghost, and finally begins preparing to go to school and practices writing his own name...
