This is a collection of works by photographer Osamu Yokonami, who is active in the fields of fashion and advertising, and has published works from his own label and overseas publishers such as Sweden's LIBRARYMAN. One of his life's works, the "Children" series, is a portrait of children holding vegetables and fruits between their necks and shoulders. He has continued to capture the "unconscious moments" of children.
This series has been released in the past as "100 Children" and "1000 Children," but this time Yokonami Osamu reunited with the children he photographed in those series and photographed them again. The children, who were 3-5 years old at the time, are now junior high school students, and once again stood in front of the camera in the same costumes and poses as they did back then. "AFTER CHILDREN" is a collection of works that pairs these two portraits, old and new. Although the paired photographs show the same person, the presence of each portrait, "a few years ago" and "a few years later," is clearly felt.
