A tiger has its own tiger, and a tiger thinks, and therefore a tiger exists. Tiger Tateishi was active in a wide range of fields, including manga, picture books, paintings, and three-dimensional works with tigers as a motif. This is a compilation of his manga works, full of digital analog, logical absurdity, and nonsense gags that influenced Fujio Akatsuka.
Tiger's real name was Tateishi Koichi, but he later changed his name to Tateishi Taigaa. As he was known by his name Tiger, he produced a succession of manga, picture books, paintings, and other works with tiger motifs, and passed away in 1998 at the age of 58.
His unique style has earned him the love of many fans, but most of the books that allow you to see his work have been difficult to obtain. Among them, this book "TRA" is the definitive edition that covers almost all of his manga works, including "Tiger's Scroll" and "Konnyaro + Digital Shokai". It is a large work of over 400 pages, making it an exceptionally expensive item for a comic. This bold price tag is due to the incredible binding by Sobue Shin. There are many surprises, such as a different typeface for each work, and the fourth and latter half of the book being upside down.
