After leaving Dior, Yves Saint Laurent launched his own brand with businessman Pierre Bergé in 1961.

In the mid-1960s, he followed the trends of the times and launched the ready-to-wear boutique Rive Gauche, but his main focus remained on his own haute couture collections, and this book compiles his creativity from his first collection in 1962 to his final collection in 2002.

The exhibition features a selection of legendary collections that were born from his long career, such as "Le Smoking," the "Mondrian Look," Russian style, and Oriental style, and are still talked about today.
