This is a series that graphic designer Kazumasa Nagai, who has produced over 1,000 poster works, has been working on since making a 180-degree turn from his abstract works to freehand representation in the 1980s. Taking "life," which is the most important thing for the self, for others, and for all living things, as his theme, he continues to challenge himself to find new ways of expression, taking pride in betraying himself and the expectations of others.

The works on display this time are copperplate prints made between 2003 and 2005. Each edition was made in 20 copies, but due to limited stock, you cannot choose a specific number. (Signed by the artist with the edition number)

Kazumasa Nagai
Born in Osaka in 1929. Dropped out of the sculpture department of Tokyo University of the Arts in 1951. A leading figure in the Japanese graphic design world, he has been active at the forefront for over half a century since the early postwar period of design. His vibrant animal figures, created with organic hand-drawn lines and precise pointillism, have continued to move the hearts of viewers for many years.
